Call for Sessions

The Call for Sessions concerns Proposed Sessions: scientific sessions proposed by chairs and managed by them within the congress programme. Standard Sessions are instead managed by the congress organization, potentially in coordination with the IAHR Technical Committees.

Call for Proposed Sessions

Deadline for proposals: 1 November 2026

Proposed Sessions are thematic scientific sessions initiated and coordinated by chairs. IAHR World Congress 2027 invites proposals aligned with any congress theme or subtheme. Organizers at all career stages are encouraged to submit proposals using the attached form.

  • Proposals will be evaluated by the Chair and the Local Organising Committee to ensure alignment with the scientific standards of the congress programme.
  • Conveners will coordinate the scientific management of approved sessions, including contribution selection and peer review, in collaboration with the Local Organising Committee.
  • The standard session slot is 90 minutes, with six 15-minute presentations. Multiple slots may be considered according to the accepted contributions.
  • Proponents, speakers and invited speakers must be fully registered for the congress.
  • Accepted Special Sessions will be progressively added to Microsoft CMT and to the Topics & Special Sessions list up to 1 November 2026.

Proposed Sessions

Proposed Sessions are submitted by chairs, reviewed for scientific alignment and then coordinated by the approved conveners within the congress programme.
